In an effort to empower Latinas in our communities, The Estela G. Ramirez Memorial Scholarship is excited to provide financial support to Latina students pursuing college degrees. Through our scholarship program, we hope to help first generation Latina college students unlock their potential and reach their life-changing milestone.
The Estela G. Ramirez Memorial Scholarship was created to honor Estela Guerrero Ramirez. Estela was a first generation college student, with roots in Aguascalientes, Mexico, who became a single mother early in life and learned to adapt to the needs of her young family.

How many awards will be disbursed?
Currently, The Estela G. Ramirez Memorial Scholarship awards one high school senior with a one time $500.00 award. We look forward to awarding multiple students at different stages of their education in the future.
Are there requirements for how to use the funds?
Once the award is disbursed, students are free to use the scholarship to pay for any educational fees they incur, including room and board fees, textbooks, or other expenses.
